Evaluation

The categories of movement used in our piece;

1. Travel                                      5. Falling
2. Turning                                   6. Gesture
3. Jumping
4. Stillness

At the beginning of our piece we walked onto stage-(Travel), into our starting positions and stood in neutral-(Stillness). Once the first five or so people got into their new positions it was my go to Travel into my new position, but to get to my new position I had to spin-(Turning), elegantly into a line with the others and stand still-(Stillness) in neutral until the back row got into their positions and the front row did their first eight jumps-(Jumping).
When they did their eight jumps they then had to spin-(Turning) themselves around facing away from end stage. It was then my line's turn to repeat what the first line just did and then it was the third line's turn. One we did the eight lots of jumps we stood-(Stillness) in neutral again facing end on.

After a couple of seconds of facing the front, we all took it in turns to travel around all/most of the actors on stage-(sort of representing their character) to the back of the stage when we'd stand/crouch/sit/lay in a certain position and hold it-(Stillness) for approx. 10 seconds and then we'd go into another position hold it-(Stillness) and then change back to our original position.

After we redid our original position we all held hands and the middle of the line ran forward as the people on the ends ran-(Travel) back, making a "V" shape. We then repeated this, apart from the people on the side ran-(Travel) forward and the people on in the middle ran back.

When we did this we all stood-(Stillness) back into a line, then the people on either side of the line travelled around the stage taking half the group each with them and had the others copying what they did. In the group I was with we were walking whilst crouching over-(Travel) and waving our arms in a sea like motion-(Gesture) and we were spinning-(Turning).

Once this was over we all stood-(Stillness) facing end on in different parts of the stage, when the music started we started swaying to it like we were on a boat, we then used complicity so that we fell-(Falling) and caught ourselves at the same time.
